Hi, I'm Christine Smith and I joined The Children's Clinic in 1999. I graduated college and medical school from the University of South Florida. After completing my pediatric residency training at All Children’s Hospital in 1995, I joined a small group practice there in St. Petersburg, Florida. Four years later, I decided to move to Oregon - in part to experience some new adventures. Since moving here, I have tried to take full advantage of outdoor activities. I enjoy skiing, cycling, and hiking, among many others. I have even done a few sprint triathlons and have completed several Cycle Oregon trips. Many days you can find me being taken for a walk by my three dogs!
My philosophy as a pediatrician is to work with you as a family. Whether it's sleep, nutrition, discipline, or some other issue, I see my role as discussing the available options and finding what fits best for you. My favorite part of being a Pediatrician is talking with you, your children, and getting to know you as a family.

Dr. Unrau is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married and has a daughter and a son. My free time is spent in family activities such as watching baseball games, traveling, sailing or just playing outside. As a pediatrician I derive my greatest pleasure from the relationships that evolve over time with each family. Meeting an infant for the first time in the hospital and caring for them until high school graduation, is an honor and joy.
