Katie Johnson, PA-C

I am a passionate Physician Assistant with a strong interest in pediatrics and the Pacific Northwest. I am a proud graduate of the University of Washington’s MEDEX PA program and also have a BS in Sport Science and a BA in Spanish for Health Professions from Idaho State University.

I am dedicated to guiding families through the critical early development stages, monitoring progress in motor, social and speech and promoting timely early intervention when indicated. I also have a deep commitment to adolescent mental health, particularly in working with teens experiencing anxiety and depression. I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where they feel heard and supported. Having personally navigated complex medical conditions during childhood, I am motivated to serve as the type of pediatric provider my family and I deeply appreciated—one who is empathetic, clinically knowledgeable, and responsive to individual needs.

I am currently certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). I have experience performing Nexplanon insertions and removals as well as toenail wedge resections and simple lacerations.

Outside of work, I enjoy barre workouts, fostering bottle-fed puppies, playing with my golden doodle Pfeiffer and unwinding with a competitive round of Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch! I am excited to meet you in clinic where all questions are welcome!

Shared Practice

Kari Smart, M.D.

Every patient has a primary pediatrician. Sometimes, especially for last-minute appointments, your pediatrician may not have available appointments, so our pediatricians partner with each other to reduce wait times and improve access to care. Additionally, they partner with someone that complements their style and brings a fresh perspective to their patient’s care.
