I joined The Children’s Clinic in 1994 and was thrilled to team up with such an amazing group of pediatricians with a long history of serving families in the Portland area. (Children’s Clinic was founded in 1911!)

As a pediatrician, I love working with families to follow my patients from birth through adulthood. Over time, this has included patients who have grown up and brought their own children to see me, and I affectionately refer to them as my grand-patients. I particularly enjoy interacting with young children and with my many Spanish-speaking familias. In the clinic, I strive to always listen with compassion to become a trusted member of each patient’s care team.

Born and raised in Portland, I have been married for over 30 years and have five children, all of whom have now graduated from pediatric care. When I’m not working, I relish time with my family and enjoy reading, bowling, downhill skiing, and caring for my four beautiful backyard chickens.
