Laura Hendricks, D.O.

Practicing medicine is truly a privilege, and I feel honored to be welcomed into the lives of my patients and their families. One of the most meaningful aspects of my work is building strong, trusting relationships and serving as a supportive partner in their care. I believe that the best outcomes happen when families and providers work together as a team, so I always strive to include families in the decision-making process.

I became a doctor because I’ve always been driven to help others feel better. There’s nothing quite like the joy of a child’s smile or the sound of their laughter. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a career that allows me to laugh, play, and care for children every day. Some of my most rewarding moments come from easing a child’s discomfort or offering reassurance to a parent when they need it most. After nearly a decade in practice, I still believe there’s no better job in the world.

I grew up all over the U.S.—from Louisiana and Virginia to Astoria, Oregon, and Traverse City, Michigan. Each place offered unique experiences that helped shape how I connect with people. I have especially fond memories of playing along the Oregon coast a child and spending time outdoors.

Outside of work, I’m married and the proud parent of two young children under the age of four—a boy and a girl—who keep life busy and full of joy. Becoming a parent myself has helped me better relate to the day-to-day challenges many of my patients’ families face. I enjoy a wide range of hobbies, including painting, gardening, reading, traveling, paddleboarding, hiking, and backpacking. Our family also includes two lovable corgis, Nymeria and Lucy, who bring plenty of laughter and love to our home.

Every patient has a primary pediatrician. Sometimes, especially for last-minute appointments, your pediatrician may not have available appointments, so our pediatricians partner with each other to reduce wait times and improve access to care. Additionally, they partner with someone that complements their style and brings a fresh perspective to their patient’s care.
