History

About Our Portland, Tualatin and Newberg Pediatric Clinics

The Children’s Clinic was founded in 1911 by Dr. Joseph Bilderback, the first pediatrician in the Northwest who founded OHSU’s Pediatric Department. The Children’s Clinic was originally located in downtown Portland. Now over 100 years later, the clinic has moved and expanded to three locations. Portland-area residents have trusted our expertise for more than a century, and we hope you will too.

Our three pediatric clinics in the Portland metropolitan area are located in SW Portland, Tualatin and Newberg. Our SW Portland location is in the Sunset Business Park, near St. Vincent Hospital at the junction of US 26 and OR 217. Our Tualatin clinic is on the Meridian Park Hospital campus, just off I-5 at the Tualatin-Sherwood exit. Our Newberg clinic is located off of Hwy 99W.

Protecting children and teens from vaccine-preventable illness is one of the most important things the pediatricians at The Children’s Clinic do to help your child live a long and healthy life. We know vaccines are safe and protect our children, our families and our community.
