What we provide.

Head-to-Toe Monitoring

At every newborn visit we conduct a thorough physical exam, checking ears, eyes, mouth, skin, heart, lungs, abdomen, hips, and legs, while tracking weight, length, and head circumference. We monitor jaundice, feeding, and early developmental behaviors so nothing gets missed.

Your Questions, Answered

New parenthood comes with a lot of unknowns. Every visit is time with your pediatrician to ask questions, talk through concerns, and get the guidance you need to feel confident at home.

Follow-Up When You Need It

If your baby needs extra monitoring for weight, feeding, or jaundice, we schedule separate follow-up visits as needed, so you're never left wondering if things are on track.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I pick a pediatrician?

Check out our provider bios on the website to get a sense of who might be a good fit for your family. You can also give us a call. Our schedulers are happy to help you find a pediatrician that meets your needs.

  • What happens at newborn visits?

At your newborn's well-child visits your pediatrician will conduct a thorough physical exam, including ears, eyes, mouth, skin, heart, lungs, abdomen, hips, and legs, and monitor head shape as your baby's skull continues to develop. Your baby's length, weight, and head circumference will also be measured and your provider will observe early behaviors and discuss any developmental questions or concerns you may have. If your newborn's Hepatitis B was deferred at the hospital, we will offer that immunization at your first visit.

  • Do you visit newborns in the hospital?

No, we'll see you for your first clinic visit which should be one to three days after discharge.

  • How do I add my newborn to my insurance?

Contact your insurance carrier immediately after your baby is born. Most health plans only allow 30 days to add a newborn. If you have OHP/Medicaid contact your case worker right away as they can provide a temporary ID card. If proof of insurance isn't provided after your baby's two-month appointment a $75 deposit may be required.

  • What is a PKU heel stick test?

A PKU heel stick is a quick blood test performed at the hospital before your discharge and at your newborn's two-week visit or earlier. It screens for rare metabolic disorders so that any conditions can be identified and treated as early as possible.
